Dr. R. Jordan Kreindler

 

 

Dr. Kreindler is Vice President, IBM Consulting Group and is responsible for helping IBM deliver asset based services more effectively and profitably. He has coordinated IBM’s Object Technology Practices throughout the Asia Pacific region, and served on the Board of Directors of the Advanced Systems Development Centre (ASDC) in Beijing, China. Prior to joining IBM he was a Fellow and Executive Director of Advanced Technology and Professional Services at the Rational software Corporation. He was founder and Associate Executive Director of the General Electric Advanced Concepts Center, where he worked with large commercial companies transitioning to object-oriented technology.

 

Dr. Kreindler served as Director of the University of Southern California's Computer Training Center with both academic and profit and loss responsibility, and as Director of Computer Development and Data Communication for the University's largest graduate program, with 71 centers world-wide. He has taught at the Western Institute of Computer Science at Stanford University.

He served as Chief of the Special and Advanced Systems Division, USAF Data Services Center at the Pentagon, and as a consultant to the Offices of the U.S. Secretaries of the Army and Air Force, and the U.S. President's Federal Reorganization Project.

Dr. Kreindler is a frequently invited speaker on object-oriented and advanced technology. He was a member of the ANSI Standards Committee for the C Programming Language. He has served on the program committees of Object World Australia and Object World Germany. He was a member of the SIGS Advisory Board. He has written for a variety of computer and technical publications including The Journal of Object-Oriented Programming, Byte, The Journal of Industrial Engineering, and Hazard Prevention. He has scripted and narrated a commercial video course on object technology as well as films on other technical subjects.

He holds B.S., Engineering (Summa Cum Laude), M.S., Engineering, and Ph.D. degrees.
