Welcome to WWISA’s annual design competition. As we all know, modeling is an effective approach to studying and communicating the language and behaviors of any given domain. This design competition asked our members to model the domain of "The Profession of Software Architect." 

We had two winners and they are currently merging their designs to provide us with a depiction of who we are and what we do. 

The next design competition will reward the best software based technology design.

There will be separate awards for individuals, university teams and practice/corporate teams. The members who win will be awarded a Founding Membership and will have a hand in shaping our future and influencing the direction of software construction.

WWISA Design Competition Model

 
On your entry, please state the modeling notation used and e-mail your model in a standard graphics format or fax or mail it to the address under contact WWISA. The winning model will become the exclusive property of The Institute of Software Architects, Inc. for use in our materials and publications. Please submit your entry no later than June 1, 2004. Collaboration and multiple entries are acceptable. In the event there are similar entries, the earlier submission will be chosen. A panel of leaders in the field of software construction will judge the submissions and the winner will be notified by December 31, 2004.
