Collectively, these Founders have published at least a score of books, many regarded as seminal works of software architecture, design, and construction, as well as close to 400 published articles in both technical and mainstream publications. They have been prime innovators in object technology, computer science education, software architecture, software design, human-computer interaction, modeling, and project management.

WWISA Founders have achieved rare feats from advising a US. President to being named by Forbes magazine as a key executive responsible for the turnaround of the IBM Corporation. The litany continues with some of their positions, past and present, and masterstrokes: President of ACM, Morgan Stanley Managing Director, Department Chair and Professor of Computer Science, co-founder of CSNET, Chief Scientist, Founder of GE’s Advanced Concepts Center, consulting firm CEO, Chief of the Special and Advanced Systems Division at the Pentagon (we can't talk about that), President of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility, Founding Director of NASA’s Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science, Vice Provost for Continuing Professional Education, IBM Chief Architect, JOOP columnist on software architectures, and member of Dogbert’s New Ruling Class (!).

These board members have designed and built multitudinous software systems. Even while we sleep at night, their software is working hard - trafficking Puppy Chow, routing spy planes, managing Swiss bank accounts, operating Wall Street trading desks, stopping planes from colliding in mid-air, and even helping nervous husbands chart their wives’ labor contractions.
