Job Description:

Architecture Specialists are part of the Expert Services group and concentrate on the server architecture and Siebel Server processes for Siebel implementations. We work with customers, integrators, and Siebel professionals to ensure the proper design and implementation of Siebel’s server products. We also focus on helping customers in capacity planning, CTI integration, and RDBMS sizing and tuning. As experts in these areas, we provide a variety of billable services to Siebel customers, as well as knowledge transfer to Siebel Technical Support, Training, and Professional Services personnel. Architecture Specialists work with customer implementations spanning the full spectrum of Siebel Enterprise Applications, including Sales Enterprise, Service Enterprise, Call Center, industry verticals (e.g. Insurance, Pharma, Consumer Goods, etc.), and Product Configurator.

 

Requirements:

·         Engineering or Computer Science bachelor degree or equivalent is required.

·         A minimum of 3 years experience in relevant computer applications (RDBMS, development tools, enterprise applications) is required.

·         A minimum of 3 years experience in client/server applications support or consultative environments is required.

·         Technical expertise in relational database administration and concepts, data modeling, and a strong understanding of SQL is required.

·         Ability to travel on short-term (1 day to 2 week) assignments is required. Approximately 20% travel.

·         Strong interpersonal and presentation and communication skills are required. Architecture Specialists must be skilled in enterprise application deployments, understand the hardware and server infrastructure required to ensure a successful deployment, be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently. They must also excel at presenting technical findings directly to Siebel customers, at all levels of the organization.

·         Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills are required.

·         Technical expertise in RDMBS technologies, application rollouts and replicated environments – is strongly desired.

·         Any exposure to Web based technologies is an advantage.
